Hong Kong has further eased its measures on 8 December 2022. The acts are following mainland’s major shift from zero-Covid policy.
Isolation – Orders
New measures allow residents and arrivals infected with Covid-19 can leave isolation on the 5th days, instead of the 7th. Moreover, they test negative for 2 days in a row by then.
Quarantine – Medical Surveillance Arrangement
Hong Kong no longer has Hotel Quarantine Policy, however, still 3 days Medical Surveillance. The arrivals have the amber code to restrict the travel and visit. Then, the Self-Monitoring period starts from Day 3 to Day 5, instead of Day 7. The arrivals need to upload their Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) results for the first 5 days. Also, undergo nucleic acid tests on Day 2 at a Community Testing Centre. That is, the self-monitoring period shortened to 5 days only.
