How to Talk to Anyone” by Leil Lowndes is a must-read for every entrepreneur. Why are we so confident about it? Simply, because it teaches you how to be liked. And that’s what every entrepreneur wants.
Here is a taste of what you will get:
Hello, old friend!
When you meet someone for the first time, imagine they are your best friend. First, it will lighten the usual tension and awkwardness associated with first-time meetings. But more importantly, it will subconsciously trigger certain reactions in your body (relaxed movements, softening of eyebrows), which will come across as friendly and welcoming.
Taffy eyes
When talking to someone, pretend your eyes are glued to them with sticky taffy. Even when they stop talking, keep eye contact. And if you have to look away, do it slowly, as if you are trying to break the taffy bond.
Recognizing smile
Do not smile immediately when you see someone. That would mean that anyone you meet receives the same smile.
Rather, look at the person for a few seconds and then let the smile spread over your face and light up your eyes.
Pivot 100%
When you see someone you want to talk to, pivot your body 100% towards them and give them your undivided attention. “Pivoting 100% toward the new person shouts, ‘I think you are very, very special.’”
