The Hong Kong/New Zealand Working Holiday Scheme was established on 1 April 2001 with both sides providing an annual quota of 400.
Successful applicants will be issued a Working Holiday Visa.
During your 12-month stay, you can take up short-term employment of not more than three months with any one single employer and can also take up short education courses.
Make sure to take out suitable medical insurance policy, which is also required before departure to cover the possible related medical bills incurred abroad.
Hong Kong offers various types of short-term employment. Most positions are seasonal work, especially during holiday seasons – like Christmas, Chinese New Year, Easter and so on. Moreover, there are so many trade shows and exhibition on Hong Kong that employers are always on the look out for short-term staff.
