OATMEAL COOKIES – TREAT YOUR COLLEAGUES

We often talk about the importance of a friendly atmosphere in the office. Sometimes, all it takes is a simple old-fashioned gesture.

So how about treating your colleagues to some homemade oatmeal cookies?

Here’s a simple recipe to try out. All you will need:

1 ½  cups of pecans

2 sticks of unsalted butter

1 cup of dark brown sugar

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon of salt

3 cups of oatmeal

In a small bowl: flour + oats + baking powder + cinnamon + salt.

In a larger bowl (or mixer): brown sugar +granulated sugar + butter. Beat until light and fluffy. + eggs (one at a time) + vanilla. Beat into the mixture.

Gradually +flour mixture. Mix until just combined. + pecans = cookie dough

Spoon the cookie dough by 2 tbsp-size balls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 12-13 minutes.

When out of the over, sprinkle a few grains of salt over the cookies.

Take them to the office and be admired for the rest of the week!
