Loosing your job does not mean that you will be asked to leave Hong Kong. However, you do need to approach the Immigration Department to change employers (submit an employment visa application) or establish/join a new business (investment visa application).

7) Detailed supporting letter which sets out the chronology of your life in Hong Kong
8) Statement of Travel Records (HKID form ID697) and,
9) The ROP 145 and ROP 146 application forms.
The HKImmD expects a foreigner, seeking an employment visa in Hong Kong to perform, at minimum, supervisory duties.
This calls for an employment that is valued at HKD 200,000 annually.
However, don’t take 200,000, divide it by 12 and aim for a monthly salary of HKD 16, 670.
No, the HKD 200, 000 amounts to the total value of the employment each year.
