As one of the biggest optical fairs in Asia, Hong Kong Optical Fair provides an effective platform for business networking and comprehensive product offerings.

In 2012, the fair was attended by 629 exhibitors from 22 countries and over 12, 000 buyers from 98 countries and regions.

This year, new records may be set. There are three new sections at the fair, targeting new fast-growing markets: reading glasses, kids’ eyewear and accessories and 3D glasses. Other represented categories are: diagnostic instruments, contact lens and accessories, optometric instruments and machinery, lens and frames, sporting and professional eyewear, safety eyewear, sunglasses and branded eyewear.

Josephine went in and enjoyed a working lunch this week with ABNET – Asia Business Network – a new networking organization, solely committed to catering to small and medium sized enterprises in Asia.

ABNET is setting up in Asia and targeting business owners and managers, who take their business networking seriously – so do not expect weekend trips to museums or wine & dine events. Centre o have been there and seen it and we have to say hair accessories are all in this season!

Alexandre de Paris makes you feel luxurious from the very moment you enter the shop. The carpet and walls are all velvet and soft in beautiful earth beige and turquoise colours. In the centre there is a modern display of crab pins in different sizes and colors revolving in a circle. Isn’t this a fantastic idea? Suddenly we felt like kids and started playing with the display selecting the items we loved most! This week at centre o we were receiving the delegation of 8 SMEs from the Russian city Sverdlovsk, who visited Hong Kong together with Sverdlovsk Regional Business Support Organization. The business meeting came into effect thanks to the cooperation with SME Association. Our manager Josephine greeted everyone with an insightful talk about the activities of centre o and the nature of doing business in Hong Kong. Centre o as one of the leading business centres in Hong Kong, throughout the years has accumulated experience and skillset to help starting or growing companies set foot in Hong Kong market.

The Russians expressed high interest in Hong Kong IT & Technology market. They were also under big impression of Hong Kong welcoming culture and people they have meet along the way. Each company received a Chinese culture themed gift from centre o. The business meeting resulted in exchange of experiences and strengthening business connections.
