Coffee, My Lover, My Best Friend

Today I got the pleasure of going down to interview one of Wan Chai’s local coffee cafes – CoCo Espresso. A five minute walk away from Centre O, they spent time out of their busy day to let me learn more about their little hidden shop.

CoCo Espresso, initially located in Sheung Wan, has expanded another store to Wan Chai recently in the past year. Made by award winning barista’s, they pride themselves on specialty coffee, stating “it’s not just the bean that makes good coffee, but the barista”.

When asking Kim, one of the barista’s, why he chose the coffee life, he replied “ I wanted to work in something different, where I am able to talk to customers, bring happiness to myself and to others, coffee seemed like the best way. I have learnt so much, and still learning, I am able to share the joy and experience of coffee.”

I think the secret behind CoCo Espresso’s success is that they have a strong coffee focus, only wanting to produce excellence for their customers. Hopefully in the future we may see some more CoCo Espresso’s pop up, as they have the passion to grow and share the real coffee experience with the people of Hong Kong.

being from Perth there are so many coffee cafés, I have to admit I’m a coffee addict, and this was honestly the best coffee I've had in a long time! Thank you CoCo espresso!
